Our Intestinal Cleanser is a finely ground powder of imported psyllium husk and seed. As it contains primarily fiber and no laxative or herbal stimulants, it can be used on a daily basis to assist normal bowel peristalsis. (In contrast, laxatives and herbal preparations stimulate the peristaltic muscles of the bowel, and, if used regularly create a "dependency" and weaken normal colon function.) Psyllium has a hydrophilic (water-loving) action that softens hardened mucous lining the bowel wall, facilitating its elimination. Psyllium can help achieve a high fiber diet, which is so important in maintaining good bowel health, and is now recognized as important to help maintain a healthy cholesterol level already in the normal range.
Dietary fiber is a necessary component of the diet that is glaringly lacking in the typical western diet. Lack of dietary fiber can cause constipation, elevated cholesterol levels, and has been linked to increased incidence of certain abnormal cell growths. Psyllium is a rich source of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber. Taking psyllium on a daily basis can supplement the diet with high quality fiber, and ensure at least one normal bowel movement every day.
SUGGESTED USAGE
One heaping teaspoon mixed with water or juice, 1-3 times daily. Follow with one or more glasses of water.
May be taken as described above, or put one or two tablespoons of Detoxificant in jar or shaker with at least 8 oz. of juice or water. Add one heaping teaspoon of Intestinal Cleanser. Shake vigorously or blend to make sure solution is properly mixed. (Some people prefer to take the separately so the liquid won´t gel so quickly.)

Q. How does your Intestinal Cleanser (psyllium) product differ from others?
A. Our Psyllium product is a special grade and size (mesh) of psyllium. We have tried over 30 different types of psyllium suppliers, but this psyllium works the best and has achieved the best results. It tends to swell to a larger volume, and also gel much quicker than most other varieties - hence, it works better.
The seed and husk is what gives psyllium the slippery, mucilagenous, and swelling properties. The husk is what gives the psyllium the cleansing properties, because it is slightly abrasive, so it acts as a cleanser on the intestines.
Q. I received a bottle of your Intestinal Cleanser (psyllium) product and the bottle is not completely full...
A. This is normal. As the bottles are transported, the product tends to settle so that it may seem like the bottle is not quite full. But, if you were to weigh each bottle you will find that there is more than 10 oz. - the net weight we print on the bottle (we fill by weight, not by volume).
Q. I am taking your Intestinal Cleanser/Psyllium product (with or without the Detoxificant/Bentonite) and I am experiencing gas, bloating, and pains in my abdomen...
A. How are you taking the product?
* You want to be sure that you are not taking too much. The recommended serving size is 1 heaping teaspoon in 4-8 oz. of water or juice, shaken thoroughly. Another thing that you can do is to make sure you drink plenty of water. After drinking the initial mixture, drink another 4-8 oz. of water.
* One possible cause of this discomfort is that you are not drinking enough water with the psyllium seed. This product swells and if you do not drink enough water, it can be very hard to digest and keep the psyllium moving through the digestive tract.
* Another possible cause of your discomfort stems from the fact that you are most likely taking this product because you have poor bowel elimination or are constipated in some way. Frequently in conditions such as this, portions of the colon have very narrow passages. These constrictures of the colon, as they are called, can be so narrow that when the semi-solid mass of the psyllium reaches one of these narrow passages, it can barely move through. The result is that you get a blockage and any food that you have eaten since drinking the psyllium will back up. This can produce the symptoms you speak of.
owever, it is important that you understand that the psyllium IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED TO OPEN THESE NARROW PASSAGES. It may take a few times, but eventually the fiber in the psyllium will widen the passages, removing your discomforts entirely.
Remember to drink plenty of water. You can also exercise to help dislodge the psyllium and get it moving. But, if you are in distress and in dire need of relief you can go to your local health food store or distributor and ask to buy the Herbal Supplements. This product does not do anything to open those narrow passages, so you still want to take the Intestinal Cleanser to correct the problem. The Herbal Supplements are meant for temporary use only.
