St. John’s wort is a yellow-flowering perennial plant that grows wild in many parts of the world. It was named after St. John the Baptist because it is usually in full bloom by the time of the Feast Day of St. John, June 24. “Wort” is the Old English word for "plant." Flora’s St. John’s wort supplements are wild-crafted from flowers grown exclusively in the mountains of southern Greece.

This mixture, sealed in glass jars, is then potentized in the intense Mediterranean sun for several weeks. It is this slow, painstaking process alone which maximizes the extraction into the oil of the full spectrum of active ingredients found in St. John's wort such as hypericin, hyperforin, rutin and quercetin, natural antioxidant.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Take 3 to 5 capsules per day with liquid, or as advised by a qualified health care practitioner.
CAUTIONS/CONTRAINDICATIONS: Keep out of the reach of children. St. John’s wort is not to be used by children unless recommended by a physician. It is not recommended for those with chronic immunodeficiency illnesses.
Women who are pregnant or currently lactating should not take this supplement. Also, patients that are bi-polar or manic-depressive should not view St. John’s wort as a possible remedy for their depression. It is advisable not to use alcoholic beverages while taking this product.
For some people, this plant may cause photosensitivity, so patients ingesting it should try to avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds or other strong UV lights.
