The Keeper Cup Size B is meant for women who have NOT given birth vaginally.
A great alternative to tampons, this soft, natural gum rubber menstrual cup collects the flow rather than absorbing it, so the vaginal tissues aren't dried out as they can be by disposable tampons. The Keeper Cup holds up to an ounce of fluid and should be emptied a few times a day; simply rinse and reinsert. The Keeper menstrual cup is not recommended for those with latex allergies. The Keeper can last up to ten years.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Before using your menstrual cup for the first time, thoroughly wash your hands and the cup in warm water with a mild soap. Do not boil The Keeper.
Insertion
To insert your menstrual cup, press the sides of the cup together to fold the cup in half, then fold in half again. The rim of the cup will now be held in a "C" shape. Gently insert the cup rim-first into the vagina to where it feels comfortable. After some practice you will learn how to most comfortably position your menstrual cup. The cup will pop open during insertion.
Removal
Menstrual cups are commonly emptied between 2 and 4 times per day. You will learn how frequently to empty your cup depending on the heaviness of your menstrual flow. Before removal, thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water. Tug gently on the stem, then squeeze the base of the cup between your thumb and forefinger to break the seal. If you cannot reach the stem or base of cup, bear down with your internal muscles to help push the cup downward. Gently pull the cup downward at an angle, holding it carefully to avoid spills. Empty the contents of the cup into the toilet. It is not necessary to remove the cup before urination or bowel movements.
If you find that the steam is too long for your comfort, you may remove the cup and carefully trim the stem to a comfortable length. Do not trim the stem off completely
Cleaning & Care
Wash your menstrual cup with mild soap and water before reinsertion. At the end of your cycle, wash and dry the menstrual cup before storing it in the drawstring fabric bag provided. Do not store your menstrual cup in a plastic bag or airtight container. At the beginning of your next cycle, thoroughly wash your cup with mild soap and water before using. Do not boil The Keeper.
Important! The Keeper has tiny holes below the rim which should be kept clean. Do not use a toothpick or other sharp objects to clean the holes as this may damage the cup. Instead, submerge the cup in water and squeeze the water out through the holes.
Your menstrual cup may naturally discolor slightly over time. This does not impair its function.
