Tansy is an anthelmintic (expels worms) and menstrual flow promoter.
Tansy, Tanacetum vulgaris: The tea is used while fasting to expel worms, especially round and thread. Promotes menstruation. Can be used externally for skin problems.
The American Indians used it as an abortifacient. It may also be used for hysteria, jaundice, dropsy, kidney weakness, flatulence and stomach spasms, gout, epilepsy, and low fever. As a wash it is helpful for skin problems, blemishes, bruises, sprains, scabies, and as a compress for rheumatic joints. In the Middle Ages it was often used on the floors to deter fleas and other insects.
Used to expel worms while fasting. Promotes menstruation. Can be used externally for skin problems.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Use 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
WARNING: Use Tansy only under medical supervision. Overdose can be fatal. Do not use while pregnant. Can cause kidney damage if use is prolonged.
