As a hot infusion, this herb is used for colds, fevers and flu as it promotes sweating. It contains a volatile oil which helps to relieve flatulence and colic. May be used internally or externally (in a footbath) to help bring on suppressed menstrual flow.
Internal uses: It has been used for spasms, toothache, gout, leprosy, consumption, bronchitis, colic, cramps, gas and nerves.
Therapeutic actions: Antiseptic; Antispasmodic; Abortifacient; Anthelmintic; Anti-venomous; Carminative; Depurant; Detergent; Diaphoretic; Diuretic; Emmenagogue; Parasiticide; Sedative; Stimulant; Stomachic; Uterine tonic; Vulnerary.
Drug Interactions: No know Drug Interactions.
For coughs, congestion, and fevers, and to aid the stomach and digestion. Can also hasten menstrual flow.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Use 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
WARNING: Do not take while pregnant or if you think you might be pregnant.
