Possessing an intense, medicinal aroma, tea tree can be used by the drop directly on the skin to cleanse and purify.
Originally used by the Bungawalbyn Aboriginal Tribe along the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia, organic tea tree oil now finds its way into an Aura Cacia Organics essential oil bottle. Both hand and machine harvested from May through August, our organic tea tree oil comes from only one family-owned plantation.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Add and swish 9 to 10 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in a tub full of bathwater to dilute this essential oil before taking your bath or add about 30 to 45 drops of Tea Tree essential oil to 8 ounces of unscented liquid hand soap or liquid body wash and shake vigorously to get this blend well mixed before using.
You can even make your own liniment by adding 20 to 25 drops of Tea Tree essential oil into an ounce of a carrier oil (such as Jojoba oil, Sweet Almond oil, or Grape Seed oil), shake it well to blend these oils together before using it as a massage oil. If you are aiming for a refreshing room mist, simply add 17 to 20 drops of Tea Tree essential oil in an ounce misting bottle filled with Spring or Distilled Water, shake it well and shake it before you mist your favorite room or rooms.
Although Tea Tree essential oil is considered by some to be safe for undiluted applications to small areas of the skin, Tea Tree essential oil has very low toxicity yet it is advisable to never apply this and other essential oils undiluted to your skin. As with any essential oil, prolonged and heavy use of a single oil for many days on end could increase the risk and chance of skin irritations and reactions.
You should avoid using this essential oil while you are pregnant or nursing and should keep this and other essential oils out of the reach of children and pets.
