Possessing a sharper, more camphorous scent than its cousin, “True” Lavender, Spike Lavender is by far the best choice to use in such aromatherapy applications as an antiseptic when you use it in a daily skincare blend use and other topical uses. Known as a “medicine chest in a bottle”, Spike Lavender is more medicinal of all Lavenders. Native to the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean, Spike Lavender is used for infections, headaches, stress, inflammation, depression, respiratory conditions, muscle pains, insect bites, small burns, and cuts.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Massage or bath oil: Mix 3 drops of Spike Lavender Essential Oil, 3 drops of Tangerine Essential Oil, 3 drops of Marjoram Essential Oil, and a drop of Chamomile Essential Oil with an ounce of carrier oil (such as Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, or Grape Seed Oil).
Loosen congestion: Mix 10 drops of Spike Lavender Essential Oil with a tablespoon of carrier oil (such as Sweet Almond Oil, Grape Seed Oil, or Olive Oil) and massage into your upper chest and back.
Mood enhancer: Add 3 drops of Spike Lavender Essential Oil on a tissue and simply inhale, pause, then inhale again.
Caution: Always test a small amount of this essential oil first for any sensitivity or allergic reaction. Even though it is a very safe essential oil, consult with a healthcare professional if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking any medications.
