Part of the Sunflower family with about 600 known species, the Helichrysum is found in Africa (there are 224 species in South Africa alone), Eurasia, Australasia, and Madagascar. Considered by many in the world of aromatherapy as being one of the most important essential oils, Helichrysum has been studied by the European medical community for its amazing abilities to regenerate the nerves, improve any skin conditions, and reducing any inflammation while speeding up the body’s healing processes.
By all accounts, Helichrysum is helpful to your circulatory system, relieves any pain from rheumatism as well arthritis. Plus it possesses a beneficial effect on those pesky colds, flu, bronchitis, coughs, and asthma as well as aiding your digestive system, and can reduce any spleen and liver congestion you might have; in addition to its superb regenerating gifts, Helichrysum can also assist in the healing of any scars, acne, dermatitis, stretch marks, abscesses, and boils.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Mix together 2 ounces of Sweet Almond Oil, 10 drops of Helichrysum Essential Oil, 5 drops of Rose Essential Oil, and 5 drops of Geranium Essential Oil to protect your skin from dying while helping to relieve psoriasis, leaving your skin silky smooth and soft.
If you want to get those dark circles under your eyes faded away, just dilute a drop or two in a carrier oil (such as Grape Seed Oil, Olive Oil, or Sweet Almond Oil) before carefully applying around your eyes.
Blend 3 drops of Helichrysum Essential Oil, 3 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil, 3 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil with 2 tablespoons of Sweet Almond Oil and massage this mixture all over your chest to relieve yourself from any congestion as well as loosening any mucus you might have and soothe that pesky cough.
