Originally from Jamaica, where the allspice berries are typically harvested from August to January in order to avoid hurricane season, Frontier Allspice Berry Essential Oil possesses this sharp but sweet zesty bouquet that bears a spicy clove-like aroma that is reminiscent of its native tropical origins.
Allspice has played an important role in the Caribbean culture as both an invigorating aromatherapeutic and culinary companion who mixes well with lavendar, ylang ylang, and myrrh. Allspice essential oil is obtained by a steam distillation of the unripe crushed Allspice berries.
Use it to stimulate your circulation, increase alertness, as well as a decongestant while other possible uses include arthritis, muscle tone, stiffness, rheumatism, indigestion, nausea, depression, nervous tension, nervous exhaustion, neuralgia, plus muscular and gastric cramps.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Use a couple of drops in a burner or diffuser to ease your stress or to lift you up and out of a depression. A very small amount of Allspice Berry Essential Oil can be used as a part of a massage oil for a chest infection or severe muscle spasm.
Essentially for aromatherapy use, you have to carefully dilute the essential oil with a carrier oil like jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil for other uses. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference sources for suggested dilution ratios.
