Karit' oil is a liquid Shea Butter with a high content of natural functional lipids, essential components of the structure of all membranes, including the skin barrier. It has been suggested that topically applied lipids alleviate symptoms of dry skin, reducing skin irritations, with anti-inflammatory effect.  
Karit'oil is recommended mainly for daily use skin and hair care applications, and for massage oil (mixed with essential oils). No greasy film left after application.
