INGREDIENTS
Chlorine Free Organic Cotton Tampons - Super Plus Absorbency, 20 ct, (Seventh Generation)

100% certified organic cotton, certified by QAI International. Why do we use organic cotton? Conventionally grown cotton is heavily treated with toxic pesticides, which cause damage to the soil, water and air, and threaten the health of cotton farmers. The organic cotton used in our tampons has been grown without toxic chemicals and certified organic by a rigorous international authority. Organic cotton is safer for you, safer for farmers to grow, and safer for our environment.

FAQ
What does it mean when you say the your diapers are Chlorine-free, yet you state on your packaging that you use chlorine dioxide, elemental chlorine free (ECF) on one part of the diaper?

The absorbent material in the diaper is totally chlorine free. The one layer in the diaper that used the elemental chlorine free process is called the acquisition layer. This layer evenly distributes the urine, thus decreasing the chance of leakage. We have found a new tissue layer that doesn't use any form of chlorine. This one tissue layer, made of wood pulp, represents 5% of the overall diaper construction; whereas in mainstream disposable diapers, chlorine bleaching is used in 50% of the construction.

What is the absorbent material used in your feminine pad line that is derived from wheat?

Seventh Generation uses a natural vegetable based absorbent material called SNAP in our feminine pad line.

SNAP is made from sugars (polysaccharides) found in wheat. People with gluten allergies or Celiac disease will not be affected by this ingredient. Gluten is a mixture of proteins found in wheat, rye, barley and oats. We do not use any of the proteins in this product.
