Boswellia has a long history of use in folk medicine as a remedy for several inflammatory diseases such as arthritis, osteoarthritis and bursitis. It is also prescribed for such conditions as respiratory diseases and diarrhea. It has been used to repair blood vessels damaged by inflammations.
