Rosewood is often referred to any number of richly tinted woods usually brownish with darker veining yet could be found in many different hues. This essential oil comes from the Brazilian Rosewood, a tall evergreen tree with a reddish bark and yellow flowers that only grows in Brazil. No matter where the Rosewoods come from, all of them are strong and heavy, suitable for flooring, furniture, billiard cues, chopsticks, musical instruments, turnery, and even the black chess pieces found on the chessboards.
Bearing a slightly spicy, floral, and sweet aromatic scent, Rosewood Essential Oil does not possess a wide range of therapeutic qualities that most essential oils possess. It is useful for lifting depression as well as being a balancing action effect on both your body and mind; fighting frigidity and impotence.
Rosewood Essential Oil is employed with good results for skin rejuvenation (such as dry skin, acne, oily skin, mature skin, scars, sensitive skin, and stretch marks), reducing headaches, fever, flu, colds, coughs, infections, and a boost for your immune system as well.
SUGGESTED USAGEAdd 20 drops of Rosewood Essential Oil in your warm bathwater or favorite cream, lotion, or massage oil. Or you can make your own essential oil cream by mixing together 30 to 50 drops of Rosewood Essential Oil, 2½ tablespoons of melted beeswax, 1 cup of carrier oil or Cocoa Butter (just don't use mineral oil in this blend), and 1 cup of distilled water, Aloe Vera juice, or Rosewater.
You can also add 2 drops Geranium Essential Oil, 2 drops of Rosewood Essential Oil, 2 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil and 6 teaspoons of carrier oil to wear as a fragrance, use for a gentle massage, or inhale directly from the bottle as an uplifting personal blend for daytime use. Replace 2 drops of Geranium Essential Oil with 2 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil as an uplifting personal blend for nighttime use.
