Psyllium is useful in support of constipation (irregularity). It generally produces bowel movements in 12 to 72 hours. When immersed in the intestines psyllium increases in volume and swells the amount of intestinal matter. This stiumulates and lubricates the bowel and helps move waste through the colon. 
 
Psyllium has a high dietary fiber content and is suggested to treat colitis, constipation, high cholesterol, diarrhea, heart disease, varicose veins, high blood sugar, hemorrhoids and Crohn's disease.

Drink a full glass (8 ounces) of liquid with each dose.
